First Friday: Restful Remembrance Stretch & Sound

  • Ceremonial Wellness 44 West Earleigh Heights Road Severna Park, MD, 21146 United States (map)

Welcome to the REST of your life!

Each First Friday ceremony is specially curated to the current energies of Mother Earth and Father Sky. We ease in with gentle somatic movement and restorative poses (asana) that melts into the conscious rest of Yoga Nidra accompanied by live sound bath.

Join me on the evening of October 2nd for a 75 minute movement, breath and sound ceremony that connects us to our ancestral lineage. Pitr Paksa, is a sacred window of 16 lunar days that magnifies reflection, gratitude and bonding to our past and future families.

It is believed that during these 16 days, our ancestors descend to the earthly realm to shower us with their blessings. This individual and collective intention helps to resolve past-life karma, ancestral debts, and removes obstacles while inviting ancestral boons. The support of ancestors opens our paths to new opportunities and overall growth.

This is a mostly seated, supine practice that invites deeper stillness as it progresses. These states are sacred, profound and held with utmost reverence. Open to all bodies, always, and supported by extensive training for your complete safety. This session takes place on the first Friday of every month, unless otherwise noted.

Wear comfortable, loose clothing & bring your mat, favorite blanket, eye pillows, and friends! Mat, blankets, and bolsters are also available for use.
